Current Perspectives on Grant Renewals
Our standard policy is to make single year grants, which may be renewed at our Board’s discretion in subsequent years. In some cases, however, grants are made expressly on a one-time, non-renewable basis.
At present, it is not uncommon for our Board to approve renewals of grants for programs that match our evolving funding interests and guidelines. As our Board and staff continue to review our grant portfolio against our focus area goals and the Board’s interests, non-renewal decisions sometimes occur, although non-renewals generally involve a relatively small percentage of the portfolio in any given year. As soon as we become aware of the potential for a non-renewal, we endeavor to inform grantees who may be impacted.
Please feel free to contact your program officer if you have any questions about this information.
